The education market is much broader than just the standard core subjects. To respond to growing needs, we have developed product development capacity in several emerging markets. These include career and technical education (CTE), social and emotional learning (SEL), and early learning. While literacy, maths, science, social studies, and ELT will remain an integral part of our product development work, we look forward to working with our customers to meet the expanding needs of all learners.

- Career and Technical Education (CTE)—The workforce is changing, but educators are finding a dearth of materials to support students as they explore career fields. We’ve worked with companies like CareerPath Mobile and other print and digital providers to develop engaging products that will help students explore high-demand careers along the national CTE pathways. We work with publishers, industry leaders, and trade groups to ensure a comprehensive approach to product development for career training and technical education. We draw upon our curriculum development experience and our diverse pool of resources to create programmes in all age ranges, including adult learners, across the spectrum of the career and technical education market.

- Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)—Educators and parents are beginning to recognize that the traditional school curriculum does not meet the needs of the whole child, often privileging academic learning over character growth. As a result, there has been a growing demand for SEL education, with it being used as a stand-alone product or as a supplement to the existing curriculum. We have worked with several educational product providers to create SEL programmes that address this shortcoming, expanding our network of experts in the process. Our resources draw upon best practices in SEL product development, including those laid out by the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), a leader in SEL education.

- Early Learning—Local authorities are looking for school readiness support at a younger age so that students are well-versed in their fundamentals. Helping students to develop reading and maths fluency has always been a core competency at Westchester, but with this increased focus on early learning, we have expanded our team to include experts at the Under-5s level. Our early learning product development resources understand the fundamentals of reading and maths instruction, particularly around phonics and number fluency. Additionally, our team is adept at developing these programmes in multiple languages.
We look forward to helping you develop products in these emerging market areas. Our collaborative approach ensures that we serve as an extension of your internal product development team, bringing your products to market sooner and more efficiently.
