Fulltime Opportunities
Project Manager
Westchester Publishing Services UK currently has an opening for a full-time project manager to join the growing team to support our expanding client list. The position is hybrid, with 3 days per week spent in our York office and 2 working from home. The successful candidate will be a postgraduate with at least two years of book and journal production experience, working in academic publishing.
You will be working across multiple publisher accounts and be responsible for at least 5 of your own, so exceptional organisational skills, the ability to retain different house styles and a great client-facing attitude are essential.
You will manage schedules, workflows, budgets, freelancers and suppliers. You will be able to copyedit and proofread to quality-check the work of freelancers. You will ideally understand XML-first workflows, digital and litho publishing and be able to quality-check the work of our in-house typesetting teams.
The work is fast-paced, varied and rewarding. Team members are regularly personally thanked by authors in their book acknowledgement sections and clients give them glowing testimonials.
An attractive salary of £30,000 – £37,500 per annum based on experience and working package are offered.
